Planning your Algarve stay: beach time, local food and sport

Choose a few experiences that matter to your group rather than filling every hour. Balance relaxed days with booked activities and confirm the practical details locally.

Choose priorities before building an itinerary

From Pine Sun Park, you can enjoy Falésia Beach, discover local food or plan golf, tennis and padel in the surrounding area. Our gardens and the coastal paths offer other ways to slow down. Choose what interests you most, booking activities with the relevant operators where needed.

Talk to your travel companions and choose two or three priorities. If beach time and rest are the main reasons for visiting, every day does not need an excursion. Where interests differ, allow independent time rather than requiring everyone to follow the same schedule throughout the holiday.

Balance easy days with booked activities

Start by getting to know the apartment and its surroundings. Then consider a beach morning followed by an unhurried meal or a walk suited to the group. On another day, a sporting activity can be the main commitment, leaving the rest of the day open.

For golf, tennis or padel, check availability, participation requirements, equipment and cancellation terms with the relevant operator. Ask about charges and travel arrangements too: staying nearby does not mean that entry, transport or a booking is included with your apartment.

Make room for local food

Try Portuguese restaurants in the area to discover seafood and regional flavours during your stay. Choose meals out around your group's preferences and pace, alternating with meals at the apartment when that suits you.

Check opening hours, whether reservations are needed and options for dietary requirements before setting out. Discuss allergies directly with the restaurant: a broad description of its cuisine cannot establish that a particular dish is suitable.

Keep the plan adaptable

For coastal walks, choose routes that match everyone's mobility, follow signs and keep away from cliff edges. Check local conditions before leaving and retain an alternative for days when outdoor plans are unsuitable.

Group activities by location and decide on transport after selecting your destinations. Do not assume journey times or available connections. Leaving gaps for rest makes the programme easier to adapt to actual conditions and the energy of your group.

Frequently asked questions

What can I plan besides beach days?

You can discover local food, spend time in our gardens or explore coastal paths. Golf, tennis and padel are other options in the surrounding area. Check availability and requirements for individual activities.

Are sporting activities included in the accommodation booking?

These are activities in the surrounding area to arrange separately from your stay. Confirm charges, reservations, equipment and transport with the relevant operator.

Do I need a car for my stay?

That depends on your chosen destinations and your group. Being close to the beach does not settle every transport need; choose your activities first, then check routes and suitable transport options.
